Governor Brownback claims the laws he has signed into effect limiting women's access to medical abortions is a promotion of a culture of "life," but his claim flies in the fact that women have been seeking abortions--usually illegally with techniques that either render them sterile or dead--since the rise of the patriarchy. Illegal abortions, which we are being forced to consider because women's rights are being stripped from us in Kansas, once again, is a culture of death, not life.

This letter to the editor accurately places the blame for abortions where it belongs--at the feet of all those who support the patriarchy:
